The international vaccines and pharmaceuticals company, IDT Biologika, has appointed Dr Daniel Windhorst as its new key account manager for salmonella vaccines, covering both pigs and poultry,
Holding a degree in biochemistry at the University of Hannover, Dr Windhorst (pictured above) gained his PhD at that university’s medical school where he contributed to an EU project investigating the colonisation properties of different salmonella strains.
His research background includes two internships in England, one at the Institute of Animal Health, Compton, and the other at Sanger Institute, Cambridge. He also had a posting at the Salmonella Reference Centre, Robert Koch Institute in Germany.
