Harper Adams University has gained full accreditation for its BSc (Hons) animal behaviour and welfare course from the Association for the Study of Animal Behaviour (ASAB), making it the only UK University to have achieved that status at undergraduate level.
This means the course has been formally validated by the ASAB Accreditation Committee as delivering the academic elements necessary for an individual to achieve ASAB certification as a clinical animal behaviourist.
Course Manager Stephen Baugh said: “We are delighted that we have received full accreditation from ASAB and look forward to continue working with our CCABs who teach on the course.”
Harper Adams University has an extremely close association with the pig industry through its annual pig student sponsorship programme which is backed by AHDB Pork and supported by several leading commercial businesses.
