Sainsbury’s is to enhance its Taste the Difference pork range with new aspirational products that differentiate it from its rivals and other lines.
According to a report in Meat Trades Journal, a Taste the Difference pork rib roast will be launched on 13 December, developed with Cranswick, said head of livestock Gavin Hodgson. Cranswick had changed some processing techniques, said Mr Hodgson, which had had “an amazing impact on cooking and eating quality.”
Sainsbury’s will review the whole of the Taste the Difference pork range next year, Mr Hodgson added after the retailer realised there were “lots of little things we weren’t doing right”.
Hodgson was speaking at the Sainsbury’s farming conference in Farnborough.
