The 2014 British Pig & Poultry Fair scored a 93% hit with visitors concerning the value of the event to their business.
According to a post-event survey, 72% of visitors also said they planned to make changes to their business as a result of attending the two-day programme, which attracted a total audience of 10,318 to Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, in May.
Exhibitor reaction was equally encouraging for the event organisers with 91% of stand-holders rating the fair as very important/important for engaging with existing customers; 61% rating it as an excellent/good return on investment and 79% saying it was very important/important for generating future orders. Â
On the question of early plans for the next fair, due to be held in two years time, 88% of exhibitors said they would return in 2016. Â Â Â Â
As for visitor profile, 55% of those who attended in May were either producers or farm managers, of which 42% were involved in pig farming, up from 40% in 2012.Â
