AHDB’s pork knowledge exchange (KE) team has been strengthened to add further value to the services offered to levy payers.
Jen Waters, who now heads up the KE team, has introduced two new positions which will focus on account management. The relationship manager roles have been filled by Sam Bradley (pictured right), who moves from her skills officer role at AHDB, and Tina Beckmann (left), who was previously a sales manager with Eurofins Genomics.
Meanwhile, Richard Bows, KE manager in the North of England, is leaving his role.
Ms Waters said: “I’m excited to introduce these new roles to the team. Sam and Tina will be ambassadors for AHDB, helping producers find the support their businesses need, without needing to know every member of staff within the organisation.
“Our KE managers will still be working with producers on specific projects, for example Gilt Watch and our strategic farms, as well as running regional pig clubs and offering technical expertise. The new relationship managers will be adding another level of value by building close relationships with individual businesses to support their specific needs.
“In addition to the new roles, we are sad to be saying goodbye to Richard Bows. Richard has been a much-loved and valuable member of the team over the last eight years and we wish him well in his future ventures.”
Angela Christison, strategy director, said: “AHDB is rapidly becoming one of the best breeding grounds for industry talent and I am eager to see the positive impact the new roles will have on our relationships with levy payers.
“We wish Richard continued success and look forward to recruiting more talent and resource to meet the needs of the industry.”
