The British Meat Processors Association (BMPA) has been awarded Best Trade Organisation at the annual Meat Management industry awards.
The Association was recognised for its ‘major evolution’ to become the central voice of the British meat industry under the leadership of Nick Allen. Mr Allen was commended in his role as CEO for having built a team that is ‘completely immersed in the technical, operational and political issues affecting the industry today’.
Nick Allen’s said following the win: “The hard work and dedication that the whole team has shown throughout Brexit, the pandemic and the myriad other issues facing the industry has made BMPA what it is today.
“I’m delighted that our achievements over the last few years have been recognised in this award and would like to extend a big thank you to the BMPA staff David, Peter and Nan; to Jon and Annadore from Ooda, our strategic communication partner; and to all the dedicated people from our member companies who contribute their time and expertise to our technical committees. BMPA’s offering is going from strength to strength, with more planned for the coming year.”
