A statement, issued today by administrators, Begbies Traynor, has confirmed that Agricultural Contract and Marketing Company (ACMC) Ltd., was placed into administration on April 27, but that the company is “continuing to trade in administration in order to sell the business as a going concern and maximise the return to creditors”.
Bob Maxwell and Rob Sadler of Begbies Traynor have been appointed as joint administrators, according to a brief statement issued on their behalf.
“Based in Driffield, the company (ACMC) supplies genetically-advanced breeding stock to farmers all over the world,” said the statement, adding that the company employs 35 people.
“ACMC is a family business which was established in 1990.”
The statement also invited anyone interested in acquiring the business to contact the administrators on 0113 244 0044.
