AHDB has begun the search for the next chair of its Pork Sector Council, alongside two other recruits to its main board.
Current Pork Sector chair Mike Sheldon is due to stand down in April 2024 after being re-appointed for a year last April. He had already served two three-year terms in the role, but a recruitment process to find a successor starting in April 2022 proved unsuccessful.
The search is now underway again for a Pork Sector chair who will be ‘current or recent levy payer with proven understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the pork sector’. They will also need to demonstrate ‘levy payer insight, to include, where appropriate, sector-specific knowledge of one or more sectors or significant industry knowledge’.
- You can find more details about the roles and how to apply HERE.
The deadline for applications is midday on Friday, December 8.
AHDB recently announced three new appointments to its Pork Sector Council, alongside three re-appointments, while Mr Sheldon recently took questions from levy payers about AHDB’s proposed levy rate increases.
