Rattlerow Farms, one of the UK’s leading pig production businesses, is looking for an experienced Fields Person to oversee a series of indoor finishing farms. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong livestock management experience to take responsibility for the performance and welfare of pigs across multiple sites, ensuring high standards and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day management of multiple indoor finishing farms, ensuring optimal pig performance and welfare.
- Regularly visit each farm, supporting unit managers and ensuring adherence to health, safety, and biosecurity standards.
- Monitor and improve farm performance, including pig growth rates, mortality, and production efficiency.
- Work closely with farm managers and stockpeople, providing guidance, training, and support to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure farms comply with Red Tractor, RSPCA, and customer assurance standards.
- Assist with the selection and transportation of pigs to abattoirs, ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Work closely with nutritionists, vets, and senior production managers to optimise pig health and performance.
- Build strong relationships with third-party farmers (Agistors) to ensure high standards of pig husbandry and farm management.
- Support recruitment, training, and development of farm staff, ensuring teams are engaged and well-managed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in pig production, livestock farming, or a related agricultural role
- Strong communication and leadership skills to support and guide farm teams.
- Knowledge of farm performance metrics, biosecurity, and welfare standards.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a passion for improving efficiency and production.
- Full UK driving licence (as travel between farms is required).
