Pig Stockperson – Ref 1724 Lincolnshire

We’re recruiting for a Pig Stockperson for a unit in Lincolnshire, LN2.  

Our client is a leading agricultural business specialising in breeding and rearing pigs to the highest Red Tractor standards.

 Job Description:

• Working on a weekly system with a breeding herd of 900-sow indoor unit to ensure health and wellbeing standards are met and exceeded from farrowing through to finishing.
• Daily duties include feeding, vaccinating, moving and handling.
• Loading and unloading pigs.
• Completing and maintaining pig data and records in a timely manner.
• Maintaining the condition and appearance of the farm to high standards.
• Operating farm machinery/equipment.
• Working in the sow house and the growing department would be advantageous.

Candidate Specifications:

• Experience with livestock and an agricultural background is preferred BUT not essential.
• A genuine passion for the pig industry and a commitment to animal welfare.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise duties effectively.
• You must be self-motivated, possess a strong work ethic, and consistently strive to exceed expectations.
• Due to the rural location, your own transport is necessary.

Salary: £12.21 per hour (overtime – £15.26)

Hours:

• The job is a full-time, permanent position.
• 39 hours per week plus overtime available.
