We have job opportunities on outdoor breeding units in Norfolk, NR20.
Our client seeks motivated, reliable individuals who can work well as team players. Candidates must be flexible, conscientious and care about the welfare of animals.
The pig unit is well run, with forward-thinking leadership. It is a modern company with several units covering North Norfolk and Suffolk. Animal welfare is at the heart of its business, and it is a Red Tractor accredited producer.
They have an outdoor herd, so applicants must be happy to work outdoors in all weather. Â
Duties will include:
- Feeding sows
- Strawing up huts
- Moving sows
- Weaning piglets
- Fallen stock removal
- Artificial insemination
- Identification of illness
- Administering vaccinations and medicine
- Practicing good biosecurity
- Accurate record keeping
Experience is preferable, but fully accredited training can be offered to the right candidate.
Salary: From £28,000 DOE
