We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Pig Stockperson for a farm in Queensland, Australia.
Due to expansion, there are opportunities on grower or breeder sites and for career growth.
Our client is a progressive, family-owned business specialising in all aspects of pig production. They have been farming for over 90 years and employ over 135 staff across multiple sites in Queensland, Australia.
Person Specifications:
- Must demonstrate at least 18 months of recent and relevant work experience and possess at least an AQF Certificate III in Agriculture (Pork Production) or equivalent qualification OR have at least five years of recent and relevant work experience. Work experience must relate to medium to large-size commercial piggery operations
- Applicants must be committed to performance, proactive, honest, reliable, and take responsibility for their actions
- Applicants must have a strong working knowledge of commercial pig production systems, including current animal husbandry practices, sound data collection and recording skills, working knowledge of Quality Assurance and WHS programs and the ability to manage and supervise these systems daily
- As part of the visa requirements, you are required to maintain your own private health care for the duration of your visa
Salary range: $65,000 – $85,000 AUD per annum DOE
