Swine flu has been detected in 11 pigs at a county fair in the US state of Maryland. According to reports, the outbreak has been confirmed just a week after seven people became ill after contracting flu from pigs at a separate fair in the state.
The Maryland Department of Agriculture said the 11 pigs are now in quarantine.
Symptoms of swine fever in pigs are high fever, mouth breathing and a reluctance to move. Symptoms in humans are similar to seasonal flu.
