The British Pig & Poultry Fair returns on May 12 and 13, and is set to be bigger and better than ever, with record stand bookings and space selling out fast, according to event organiser Alice Bell.
Taking place every two years at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, 2020’s fair will host around 350 exhibitors and attract more than 10,000 visitors.
“As the leading event for the sectors, the fair is a must-attend event for anyone in the industry wanting to keep up-to-date and see what is new,” said Ms Bell.
“For producers, the fair is renowned as the place to find the latest ideas and solutions to implement on farm – 80% of 2018 visitors planned to make changes to their business as a result of attending, and 97% rated their visit as good or excellent.
“There really is nowhere else to hear from so many experts and find out what is new, all in one day, under one roof.”
In addition to more suppliers, there will be more seminars with the introduction of a new Pig Technical Hub. Partnered by AHDB, the hub will house a range of experts with advice and ideas for farmers.
Topics will include event partner ABN focusing on optimal feeding and gut health, and AHDB looking at managing for performance, while also balancing health, welfare and environmental factors.
Pig World will once again be the official pig media partner for the fair.
