Over 150 customers, suppliers, sub-contractors, friends and colleagues enjoyed a superb 60th anniversary celebration for AM Warkup in July at Tickton Grange Hotel, in Beverley.
Guests travelled from Canada, Denmark, the Lake district, Scotland – and even Driffield – to join in the celebrations.
They were welcomed by Tracey Middlewood, daughter of company founder Mick Warkup and a current director, and chairman Allan Mason.
“It’s lovely to see so many old faces and some not so old”, said Tracey. “It means a lot to us that people have travelled so far to be with us today.”
She offered a ‘huge and heartfelt thank you’ from her mother, Sue, sister, Sally, and herself (main picture) to all those present for their contributions to AM Warkup’s success, however great or small, over the six decades. “We couldn’t have done it without any of you,” she said.
Allan said he deeply appreciated having been part of the Warkup ‘family’ for so long and recognised the significant contributions they have all made. He proposed a toast to ‘absent friends who have contributed to our company’s history but are no longer with us’.
