Asda is reported to be launching a giant pig in blanket measuring a mammoth foot long in length and 45mm deep. The Sun has reported that the jumbo sausage promises to be “bigger and meatier than ever” – trumping all others pigs in blankets out there.
It’s made with over 500g of succulent British pork and wrapped with 100g of British dry cured streaky bacon rashers.
Aldi launched its own head-turning foot-long sausage wrapped in bacon last week, priced at £2.99 for two. Its version weighs in at 200g per sausage.
Asda’s product – priced at £5 – can be cooked from frozen and shared by up to 10 people. The product is also gluten-free.
