Pork and bacon specialists Robertson’s Fine Foods has opened a new £3 million processing unit.
The new site in Irvine – its second – would be used to expand its business and support existing customers, the firm said.
The new plant was bought with a £3 million investment, partly funded by a Scottish Enterprise grant, and partly covered by Robertson’s parent company John Robertson and Sons.
“We are now in a strong position to embark on an ambitious growth strategy,” said operations director Richard Straszewskyj.
