An estimated 400 pigs have died in a barn fire in East Yorkshire.
The fire occurred at a farm on Riston Road, Catwick, just after 1pm on Sunday 7 July, Humberside Fire and Rescue Service reported.
A spokesperson for the Service said the pigs in the barn were fatally injured and the building itself “completely destroyed”.

It is believed that the fire started accidentally, with the BBC reporting it “very likely” to have been the result of an electrical fault.
Five fire engines were involved in the operation, which took five hours to complete.
Breathing apparatus, two main lines and a thermal imaging camera and drone were needed to control the blaze.
A neighbouring barn was saved, but did suffer smoke damage.
