East Riding Farm Services (ERFS), the Driffield-based farm supply business with customers the entire length of Great Britain, as well as overseas, has been granted a Royal Warrant.
The firm is naturally delighted with this prestigious award, which nicely complement’s the company’s ethos of quality, service and trust.
With 3,500 stock items in its warehouse, and another 6,000 that can be obtained at short notice, the firm has retained the personal touch and operates a van delivery service that visits farms from Scotland’s Highland Region to Cornwall once every six weeks. Customers that require anything urgently can opt for a next-day courier delivery service.
ERFS was established by David Smith and his son Richard in 1997, and it has become a significant supplier of animal health products throughout Britain and beyond. Six years ago the firm also established an animal health business to supply veterinary and health products in Romania, a country that has as many pigs as the UK, and more recently it has been registered for the sale and export of pedigree cattle semen.
The business employs 12 people and is VMD registered to sell animal medicines. It is also registered with the UK Feed Assurance Scheme, which allows them to supply feed compounders.
EFRS is particularly well known to pig producers for the well-established and award-winning Porcichew, which ticks all the right boxes for welfare toys. The latest version is named the Golden Truffle, which, as its name implies, is truffle scented.
