Defra figures for 2012 show that the number of organic pigs continued to fall last year.
Numbers in the UK were down by more than a third to less than 35,000 head. Organic pigs now make up less than 1% of all UK pigs.
About 3% of cattle and 4% of sheep in the UK were organic.
Most agricultural sectors recorded a fall in organic production between 2011 and 2012, but the fall was sharper for pigs.
