The Rare Breeds Survival Trust (RBST) has announced the appointment of Christopher Price as its new chief executive.
Christopher will assume his new role in early February 2019 and joins RBST from CLA where he has been director of policy and advice.
With a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the key issues affecting the countryside and agriculture, he brings to the role a clear understanding of the challenges and issues facing livestock farming. Christopher has been instrumental in redefining the CLA’s key messages in order to meet the opportunities facing UK agriculture.
RBST president Jimmy Doherty said: “I am delighted to announce Christopher’s appointment – this is a crucial appointment at a crucial time for the Rare Breeds Survival Trust. He will be leading the Trust to make it fit to face the challenges of farming and conservation in the 21stcentury and we look forward to working with him.”
RBST chairman of trustees, Gail Sprake, added: “We are delighted to announce the appointment of Christopher Price as the next CEO of RBST.
