Dalehead Foods, a division of Tulip Ltd, has unveiled a recruitment drive for its site in Spalding, Lincolnshire, with up to 40 new positions available at the facility.
The site is looking for both skilled and unskilled workers to join its team from June as butchers, to support an increasing production of high-welfare pork. Dalehead Foods’ Spalding site is 35,000m2 and currently employs 550 staff.
An open day will take place in May to allow potential employees to learn more about the role and to visit the site itself. The open day will take place in Spalding on Friday 11 May (Broadgate House / 10am-3pm), with interviews taking place later in the month.
Dalehead Foods has been at Spalding since 1950 and the site is renowned for its technical advancements, combining traditional skills honed over generations with the latest technology and food manufacturing techniques. The plant’s recent investment in robotics highlights the company’s commitment to the growth of the business. The factory will continue to be an important site in Dalehead Foods’ high welfare pork production.
Abigail Brewin, HR manager at Dalehead Foods, said: “We’re pleased to announce this recruitment drive, showing our on-going commitment as a major local employer in the Spalding area. The Dalehead Foods site in Spalding has a great team spirit and provides a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills and progress with a career in the food industry. We’re looking forward to welcoming new people to join our team. It is an active role and we’re searching for motivated applicants who enjoy manual work, including lifting, and being on their feet for most of the working day.”
Dalehead Foods offer employees competitive rates of pay and working hours, as well as other benefits including a discount reward card, pension scheme and regular team events.
The recruitment drive at Spalding results from increased production at the site as Tulip Ltd consolidates its position as the UK’s leading producer of high-welfare pork.
