ADAS is running two workshops in the Eastern Counties that will look at reducing diffuse pollution from outdoor pig units.
Part of an Environment Agency project, the workshops will take a whole-farm approach to tackling diffuse pollution and will look at rotations across the whole farm.
The workshops are aimed at land owners who have pig units in their rotation, as well as pig managers and producers.
Topics under discussion will include:
- Managing soils sustainably;
- Managing your nutrients well; and
- Managing your pigs efficiently and effectively.
The workshops both start at 18:00 and run until 20:30. The dates and venues are:
February 27 (Thursday) – Diss Rugby Club, Bellrope Lane, Roydon, Diss, IP22 5RG
March 4 (Tuesday) – The George Hotel, Station Street, Swaffham, PE37 7LJ
