The first speakers have been confirmed for the Pigs Tomorrow conference, which will take place at in Leicestershire in May 2023.
Organised by Pig World and AHDB, the conference will bring expert speakers from the UK and around the world together to discuss the hot topics affecting the pig sector at the two-day event.
International Outlook Conference
Day One will be the International Outlook Conference and the first confirmed speaker is Christian Fink Hansen, a director at SEGES Danish Pig Research Centre, who will be able to provide the Danish perspective, as its pig sector, like others across the EU, contracts and adapts to the current global conditions.
Innovation Conference
Day Two will be the Innovation Conference, and the first confirmed speaker is Dr David Hughes, Professor of Food Marketing at Imperial College London, and Visiting Professor at the Royal Agricultural University.
He is an entertaining and much sought-after speaker at international events on global food industry issues, particularly consumer and retail trends. He has lived and worked with meat companies in Europe, North America, the Caribbean, Africa and South-East Asia.
His views on food issues and, particularly, meat are in demand by food businesses and the media around the world and he will no doubt provide some real food for thought.
The event will also feature a gala dinner with a guest speaker on the first night, an exhibition of industry stands and, of course, plenty of networking opportunities over the two days.
Pig World publisher Simon Lewis said: “We are delighted to staging Pigs Tomorrow in partnership with AHDB, once again. We have had tremendous feedback from previous events, and we look forward to putting on a conference with a similar stellar line-up of speakers.”
