The Food Standards Agency (FSA) is seeking a new Chair for the Advisory Committee on the Microbiological Safety of Food (ACMSF).
The post, which will become vacant on March 31, 2017 and is a non-paid role, is described by FSA as needing a strong team motivator with common sense and good analytical skills.
“Putting consumers first and being able to recognise the impact of ACMSF advice on the FSA and the public are extremely important requirements,” said FSA chair, Heather Hancock (pictured above).
Set up in 1990, ACMSF is a non-statutory committee, charged with the task of providing expert advice to government on questions relating to microbiological issues and food.
