England is a key focus for the growth of the business; we already operate mobile mill and mix hubs across England (Usk, Stratford, Lincoln) and have compound sites in Newport and York and have been looking for some time to expand the team to support production. David and James both have a tremendous amount of industry experience and are well respected within their fields, so we’re really excited to see what they will bring to the business.”
Mr Hilldrith commented: “It’s a pleasure to be joining Harbro, a company that offers monogastric feeding solutions right across the UK, whether this is for the home mill and mixer or the compound customer. With Harbro’s core values at the heart of the business, this will benefit producers in many ways, from performance driven cost savings, to reduction in CO2 along with sustainability benefits. I look forward to speaking with producers over the coming weeks and months about how we can help support their business for a long term partnership together.”
Scotland-founded Harbro operates a number of compound mills across the UK, as well as being a leading on-farm mill and mix specialist. It produces over 400,000 tonnes of pig feed and 200,000 tonnes of layer feed a year. The company is the largest supplier of on farm minerals in the UK.
