Feed manufacturer, Harbro, has increased its geographic coverage within England with the development of a feed mill in Telford, Shropshire.
Harbro creates monogastric diets on farm with its fleet of Troppers, mobile mill and mixing machines, operating out of centres across the UK, with sites from Exeter to Inverness. It also has three static mills within Scotland.
With a growing number of pig and poultry customers in the south of England, Midlands, and into Wales, it identified the need to further its manufacturing capability and has announced that the new facility is up and running.
Dave Stephenson, Harbro’s head of pig and poultry said: “It’s been a really tough year for the pig industry, with an accumulation of the harshest market conditions we’ve seen for years. But as a company we’re working in partnership with our customers to improve efficiency at every level which will make producers’ businesses more resilient moving forward.”
