The drive to maximise the publicity push for Scotland’s Specially Selected Pork (SSP) brand at next Saturday’s Taste of Grampian festival will now include an attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for the most sausages produced in one minute.
Arranged by Quality Meat Scotland (QMS), the attempt will involve Scotch Butchers Club members’ David Patterson from Dundee and Steven Cusack from Inverurie. They’ll be working with SSP-branded pork under the watchful eye of auctioneer, Colin Slessor, one of the stars of the BBC series “The Mart”.
Mr Slessor (pictured above) will be interviewed after the event by STV presenter, Rachel Stewart, with the audience being given the chance to quiz him on his TV stardom experience as well as life as an auctioneer.
The record attempt is scheduled for Saturday, June 4, at 1.30pm, held in ring three during the Taste of Grampian festival in Inverurie.
Taste of Grampian is sponsored by Specially Selected Pork.
