AHDB Pork’s Achieve Lazy pulled pork campaign is set for a marketing competition face-off with Carlsberg and Marks & Spencer after being shortlisted in the same section as them for a Marketing Week award.
The annual award is widely accepted by marketing agencies and in-house marketing teams to be the equivalent of the film industry’s Oscars, with AHDB Pork being listed in the Market Disruptor category.
“To think we would be shortlisted for such a prestigious award was not in the front of my mind two years ago when I was touring the country presenting the Achieve Lazy plan to farmers and processors,” said AHDB Pork, head of marketing, Kirsty Walker, adding that the campaign had been built on industry support.
The award will be decided by a judging panel of agency and in-house marketing professionals, with the results due to be announced on May 12.
