The second part of AHDB Pork’s Pulled Pork campaign got underway today (Wednesday) with six TV adverts scheduled to run on ITV – including one during Emmerdale at about 19:15. The programme averaged 5.75 million viewers during March.
There will also be an advert running in ITV’s peak-time 1950s crime drama Grantchester, which is one of the channel’s best performing shows. The broadcaster expects the programme to be in the top 10 shows later this year.
The Pulled Pork campaign will run throughout the month of April will also include advert slots in the nation’s favourite soap, Coronation Street. While over on Channel 4 the advert will run during the award-winning Gogglebox – Channel 4’s most popular programme.
In total, about 3,400 individual advertising spots have been booked across the ITV network as well as digital channels.
While this is the second running of the Pulled Pork campaign this year, it’s timing means the expenditure falls in the new financial year and will come out of AHDB Pork’s 2016/17 budget.
