Specially Selected Pork took centre stage at the Royal Highland Show at the weekend when Inverness butcher, Alistair Paul, set a new sausage-making Guinness World Record.
Performing on the Quality Meat Scotland (QMS) stand at the show, the new record holder successfully cased and linked 36 sausages in one minute, all filled with specially selected pork.
“One of the main aims of the world record attempt was to raise the profile of the skills and commitment of our butchers who are at the heart of communities around the country,” said QMS head of communications, Carol McLaren.
“The Guinness world record attempt made for a fantastic fun spectacle and our thanks go to the butchers involved for a very exciting showdown.”
