More funding has been made available for slurry grants for livestock producers, with the next set of grants set to be available from the autumn.
The government’s recent widely-reported announcement on house building contained more details on new funding available for Defra slurry grants were unveiled.
This included £147m for two further, larger rounds of Slurry Infrastructure grants, which will open for application in Autumn 2023 and 2024. This is in addition to the £34m announced in April for round 1 of Slurry Infrastructure grants.
The finishing touches are being made to the details of the autumn round, with the NPA involved in the discussions, and an announcement is expected soon.
There will also be £21m for two further rounds of best available slurry management equipment, offered as part of the Farming Equipment and Technology Fund. The next round will open in early 2024.
