EnviTec Biogas UK showcased its new compact anaerobic digestion (AD) unit at Nextgen 2013 in October.
The new unit offers the firm’s proven technology in a small footprint as the EnviFarm Compact plant fits into two shipping containers – one for the digester and one for combined heat and power generation.
The unit, with an output from 100kW upwards, represents a new generation of AD equipment, allowing users to achieve maximum output, with minimum installation space.
The introduction of the new compact unit brings the benefits of AD to a wider market, including pig and dairy cattle farmers looking to draw on their farm’s resources to create value and achieve cost certainty for their future energy use.
A number of factors can influence the price of the EnviFarm Compact Plant, but an approximate cost would be about £950,000.
