Zanita Markham has joined the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) as environment and buildings knowledge transfer officer.
She joins Nigel Penlington, David Ball and Emma Slater to complete AHDB’s environment and buildings team and brings with her a background in countryside management, linking agriculture with environmental protection.
The growth of the team reinforces AHDB’s commitment to the domestic agricultural policy and environmental protection, and the team has been leading on AHDB’s response to the government’s 25 Year Environment Plan and clean air strategy.
Nigel Penlington, head of environment and buildings, said: “In the past, we have focused largely on technical issues, but now Zanita has joined the team we will be able to broaden our remit and work more closely on sustainability and environment and habitat protection.”
