Nominations for the 2021 David Black Award, honouring exceptional contributions to the pig industry, are now open.
The award, sponsored by AHDB and won last year by the British Pig Association’s chief executive Marcus Bates, will be announced at November’s National Pig Awards.
Nominations can be submitted online here and will close on August 31st.
The award, inspired by the East Anglian Farmer of the same name, will go to an individual or organisation that has made an outstanding impact on the British pig sector during the course of their work.
Over the past 60 years, the award has celebrated those from across the industry, including producers, processors, academics and the allied industry.
