A total of 24 candidates have announced their intention to run in the NPA’s New Year elections, with voting underway in January.
Since Christmas, two new candidates from the eastern region – Colin Stone and Simon Guise – have thrown their hats into the ring for the Producer Group elections.
This means there are now 11 candidates for the poll to elect the new 12-strong PG, with more expected to declare soon once their nominations have been validated. The Allied Industry Group (AIG) still has its nose in front with 13 candidates standing, so far, to be whittled down to 10 for the next three-year term.
There is still time to nominate, but the January 8 deadline for the PG and AIG elections is fast approaching. To nominate, and view full election rules, plus the manifestos of the 24 candidates confirmed so far and a detailed history of NPA, click here
Online voting begins on January 22.
