The NPA has picked up the Best Trade Organisation award at the 2024 FMT Food Industry Awards.
NPA chief executive Lizzie Wilson and office manager Andrea Tranter collected the award at a ceremony at The Royal Garden Hotel, in London, on June 27, hosted by chef, Michel Roux Jr, on Thursday afternoon.
The FMT Food Industry Awards is an annual awards programme, run by Food Management Today, that recognises the best of the food manufacturing and retailing industries.
NPA chief executive Lizzie Wilson: “It is fantastic to be recognised with this award, especially as our small team continuously goes above and beyond to ensure our pig producer members interests are represented at every opportunity.
“It is particularly encouraging on the cusp of such great political and potentially legislative change. On behalf of the whole association, I’d like to thank those who voted for NPA this year, we’re absolutely delighted.”
The NPA was one of more than 90 companies, individuals and products in the running for accolades across 16 award categories.
