The Danish Crown Group’s new CEO, Jais Valeur, has taken over the running of the company from Kjeld Johannesen, having spent the last two months getting to know the global business and its staff.
“My overriding ambition is to continue to develop Danish Crown for the benefit of both its owners and its employees,” said Mr Valeur (pictured above).
“Generally speaking, the company has a good standing in the international market, so I’m very much looking forward to getting started.”
Since mid-November last year, Mr Valeur has visited many of the group companies, gaining a first-hand impression of the structure of Danish Crown and the challenges and opportunities currently facing the various group businesses.
“There is no doubt in my mind that Danish Crown has a very strong foundation on which to build,” he said, adding that his schedule in the near future will include visiting a number of the group’s most important business partners.
