Just two days remain to nominate contenders for this year’s David Black Award, which is presented annually to somebody who has made a valuable and sustained contribution to the industry.
Anybody can make a nomination through the AHDB Pork website, with the eventual winner being chosen by a panel of independent judges. Previous winners have come from academia, journalism, processing, the allied industry and production.
The award will be presented at an industry breakfast held in November on the terrace of the House of Lords.
Nominations close on Friday this week, August 26.
