Harbro has announced the appointment of John Craig to the position of operations director.
Mr Craig will join the company on August 4 from the red meat industry, where he has 27 years’ experience in a similar role. He will assume immediate responsibility for production and logistics.
“This is a significant appointment for Harbro and we’re delighted to appoint John as a director,” Harbro managing director Graham Baxter said. “His clear thinking, experience and drive will be an asset to the company and the areas for which he has responsibility.”
Speaking about his appointment, Mr Craig said Harbro’s ethos, including the teamwork and the ambition to be the best in its sector, were qualities that he valued and shared.
“A key strength of the company is its approach to quality and customer service and this is an area in which I’m used to operating to high standards,” he added. “I’m very much looking forward to bringing my experience to a new sector and playing an integral role in the continued growth and success of the Harbro business.”
