Rattlerow Farms’ new sales development manager is Steve Dunstan, replacing David Arrand who will retire at the end of this year after 23 years with the company.
Most of Mr Dunstan’s career has centred on pig production and livestock breeding, having previously worked with PIC and Genus. In his new role he will be closely involved with commercial producers and their customers in northern England and southern Scotland.
“Rattlerow is achieving 30 pigs reared per sow per year with growth rates in terminal lines exceeding 1200g/day on its own commercial health status farms,” he said, adding that some of the company’s top 10% customer herds are matching these figures.
“My aim is to help more of our customers achieve similar results.”
Rattlerow Farms’ managing director, Robert Lawson, said the appointment strengthened the company’s dedicated team and would help build on the success already secured by Mr Arrand.
“We owe David enormous gratitude for his dedication to Rattlerow and its customers during his 23 year service,” said Mr Lawson, while welcoming Mr Dunstan as someone who had an equally “clear understanding” of pig producers’ needs.
