The NPA’s senior policy adviser, Georgina Crayford, has been awarded a Nuffield scholarship, which she will use to examine strategies to change farmer behaviour regarding the industry’s use of antibiotics.
Ms Crayford’s study will run from March next year, following Nuffield’s international contemporary scholars’ conference. The scholarship itself will be officially awarded during next month’s Nuffield Farming Scholarships Trust Annual Conference in Newcastle.
Thanking NPA and industry colleagues for their support during the application process, Ms Crayford (pictured above) said her study programme will also consider what modifications to current pig production systems might help to reduce antibiotic use.
