New owner sought for arguably the best pair of pig-based number plates ever – P16 ONE and P16 TWO.
That was the request which landed in Pig World’s emails in-box the other day from Devon-based, Chris Metcalfe.
He’s owned them since 1996, the year of the P-plates, when the thought of adding a bit of pig fun to the car he owned at the time, prompted a search of what was available.
“As a kid, I’d always intended to have my own piggery when I grew up,” he told Pig World. “Although, sadly, that didn’t happen, I’ve always had a fondness for pigs, so getting my hands on P16 ONE, rapidly followed by P16 TWO, was brilliant.
“I’ve loved having them over the years, especially as people immediately get the joke the second they spot them.”
Now, however, with a house project nearing conclusion at his home at Piglets Wood (he specially re-named it a few years ago), Chris is ready to let his “pig plates” move on, ideally to a real piggery owner.
The cost, he said, needs to be very close to ÂŁ10,000 for the pair.
