The technical planning forum – Planning permission – the path to success – will be a must-attend feature of the 2014 British Pig & Poultry Fair for any producer considering expansion on their unit.
Brian Barrow, a rural planning consultant and managing director of Acorus, will deliver tips and advice to ensure a smooth planning process and successful application.
“Planning applications for new agricultural developments can be very very costly and not always straightforward,” Mr Barrow said. “It’s therefore important to ensure the application stands up to scrutiny and has a good chance of success before submitting.”
Other forums being delivered during the two-day event include raw material security, energey efficiency and renewables, and the use of media to positively promote the industry, as well as the outlook for both the pig and poultry sector.
Set to take place on May 13/14 at Stoneleigh Park, the 2014 British Pig & Poultry Fair is organised by the RASE, partnered by ABN. It’s the industry’s leading technical event where the latest ideas, advice and new technology will be showcased.
The technical forums will see industry experts offer valuable advice that can be practically implemented on-farm to help drive business growth.
The British Pig & Poultry Fair is a free event, but those wishing to attend are reminded that they are required to register. Registration is now open online at: www.pigandpoultry.org.uk
