A litter of pigs is being allowed back into a Hampshire school after much controversy following complaints from one vegan parent had seen them sent back to their original breeder.
After a survey of 1,000 parents, it was found that 97% were in favour of the pigs return and they will now be bought back to school. Despite this the original complainant Vincent Cook, is still hopeful of a compromise over the eventual slaughter of the pigs.
He told the BBC: “I’m happy for the school to keep the pigs  but I am against it being involved in the slaughter process. This can be shown in education without those animals being slaughtered. The children could go to a local butchers and see on of thousands already butchered.”
