The Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) is looking for two English pig producers to join the BPEX board. The new appointees will replace board members who have completed their term in office, and will assist the BPEX chairman in developing strategy, overseeing financial issues and ensuring effective governance.
Candidates will need to demonstrate a good working knowledge of the pig sector; have experience of developing and implementing strategy; and command the respect of their peers.
The appointments are for three-year terms from April 2014 and require about two days per month commitment each year, including attendance at board meetings. Remuneration is currently payable at £256.25/day plus expenses.
An information pack with details of how to apply can be obtained from: rachel.adamson@ahdb.org.uk, and the closing date for applications is December 10, 2013.
