Stewart Houston has been re-appointed for another term on the Animal Health and Welfare Board for England (AHWBE).
Mr Houston, who chaired the NPA in its early years and was a director until 2015, as well as chairing BPEX from 2003 to 2015) and is a current member of the Food Standards Agency board, has been on AHWBE since 2011, specialising in welfare, AMR, RDPE and the EU Animal Health Law. He will now serve on its board for a further three-year term.
Chaired by Micheal Seals, AHWBE advises Defra on animal health and welfare policy. Alongside Stewart, Mr Seals, Tim Morris, Yvonne Ball and Claire Horton have been re-appointed for another term. In addition, three new non-executive members have been appointed – Jonathan Statham, Gwyn Jones and Daniel Charles Parker.
