It’s scholarship selection day at Harper Adams University for new students looking for a career in the pig or poultry industries and hoping for a “kickstart” sponsorship from leading commercial businesses.
Backed by AHDB Pork for pigs and the British Poultry Council for poultry, the university’s scholarship programme includes a paid placement year working in the agricultural and food industry, working with one for the companies or organisations pictured above.
The programme also offers a “significant contribution” towards tuition fees, valued at up to £9000, with the key requirement that the chosen students, who are due to meet company representatives today, will be “outstanding”.
