Tulip said it has further reinforced its strong strategic partnership with Co-op having secured a new business win to supply top-tier fresh sausages.
Having agreed a new long-term agreement between Tulip and the Co-op in April 2018, the retailer has now awarded Tulip a contract to supply nine all-year-round product lines from September 2019.
The new contract consolidates Tulip’s long-term support of Co-op’s commitment to give shoppers greater access to top quality, higher welfare pork products sourced from RSPCA-assured farms in the UK.
Adrian Prior, category trading manager at Co-op, said: “Co-op is delighted to further build its relationship with Tulip as they support us with our premium sausage range. Extending our long-term strategic partnership will enable us to work with them on developing sales of this important category.
Zoe Bruce, Tulip’s customer director, Co-op, said the company’s partnership with Co-op is a model of the way it likes to work with customers – sharing knowledge and championing innovation to help both parties grow.
“We are very much looking forward to bringing our traditional craftmanship and passion for great tasting food to Co-op’s premium own brand sausage offering, which form part of Co-op’s commitment to supplying shoppers with 100% British higher welfare RSPCA-approved pork products,” she said.
