The UK exported nearly Ā£17 million worth of red meat to Canada in 2021. Data for January and February 2022 shows that more than Ā£4 million has already been shipped to Canada this year.
AHDB senior exports manager for the Americas, Susana Morris, said: āCanada is an important market for our beef, lamb and pork sectors. Having a presence at trade shows like RC Canada plays a pivotal role in helping us support our exporters in maximising the opportunities in this growing market.
āItās the first time since pre-Covid we have been able to participate and is the ideal opportunity to re-connect with the industry in Canada and identify new trends in foodservice. It will help us continue to develop this growing market and to maintain the momentum that has been building for our beef, lamb and pork products over the last couple of years.ā
